Expand description
Represents a single quote tick in a market.
Fields§
§instrument_id: InstrumentId
The quotes instrument ID.
bid_price: Price
The top-of-book bid price.
ask_price: Price
The top-of-book ask price.
bid_size: Quantity
The top-of-book bid size.
ask_size: Quantity
The top-of-book ask size.
ts_event: UnixNanos
UNIX timestamp (nanoseconds) when the quote event occurred.
ts_init: UnixNanos
UNIX timestamp (nanoseconds) when the struct was initialized.
Implementations§
Source§impl QuoteTick
impl QuoteTick
Sourcepub fn new_checked(
instrument_id: InstrumentId,
bid_price: Price,
ask_price: Price,
bid_size: Quantity,
ask_size: Quantity,
ts_event: UnixNanos,
ts_init: UnixNanos,
) -> Result<Self>
pub fn new_checked( instrument_id: InstrumentId, bid_price: Price, ask_price: Price, bid_size: Quantity, ask_size: Quantity, ts_event: UnixNanos, ts_init: UnixNanos, ) -> Result<Self>
Creates a new QuoteTick
instance with correctness checking.
§Errors
This function returns an error:
- If
bid_price.precision
does not equalask_price.precision
. - If
bid_size.precision
does not equalask_size.precision
.
§Notes
PyO3 requires a Result
type for proper error handling and stacktrace printing in Python.

size_precision: u8,
) -> HashMap<String, String>
pub fn get_metadata( instrument_id: &InstrumentId, price_precision: u8, size_precision: u8, ) -> HashMap<String, String>
Returns the metadata for the type, for use with serialization formats.
Sourcepub fn get_fields() -> IndexMap<String, String>
pub fn get_fields() -> IndexMap<String, String>
Returns the field map for the type, for use with Arrow schemas.
Sourcepub fn extract_price(&self, price_type: PriceType) -> Price
pub fn extract_price(&self, price_type: PriceType) -> Price
Returns the Price
for this quote depending on the given price_type
.
Sourcepub fn extract_size(&self, price_type: PriceType) -> Quantity
pub fn extract_size(&self, price_type: PriceType) -> Quantity
Returns the Quantity
for this quote depending on the given price_type
.
