Institutional

The highest tier of engagement with NautilusTrader: a direct relationship for proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, market makers, asset managers, family offices, and other financial institutions trading at scale. It is not a separate product. You can run Pro or the Cloud Platform and still engage with us at this tier.

Why official

The engine is open source by design. You and your auditors can read its logic and verify how it behaves, rather than trusting a black box. The more serious the stakes, the more that transparency matters.

The moment you fork the open-source NautilusTrader, you take on its maintenance and security burden: patch review, dependency audits, and release validation become yours to carry. The institutional tier keeps you on a supported, certified line of official Nautilus, so your engineering effort goes into your strategies and operations rather than into maintaining a private fork.

NautilusTrader has been built and maintained for over a decade, and because the engine is open source, your ability to run it never depends on us alone.

Certified builds

Signed, reproducible, version-pinned builds with additional review, carrying our Nautilus Certified attestation. Official release artifacts carry SLSA Build Level 3 provenance for wheels and sdists, Sigstore-attested SPDX SBOMs for container images, and signed checksum manifests, all verifiable with standard tooling by auditors, counterparties, and LPs. Each certified build also carries the determinism and auditability properties of the engine:

Deterministic simulation testing (DST): we run around-the-clock soak and stress testing, driving thousands of seeds through millions of execution-path combinations in the concurrency and reconciliation logic, with any divergence persisted as a replayable artifact for triage and investigation.
Event-sourced recording: events carry sequence numbers and nanosecond timestamps, so recorded sessions can be replayed to reconstruct engine behavior.
Certified replay: reproducible replay is certified only for official, version-pinned builds. If you fork or modify the runtime, we can no longer verify replay behavior for that build.

Dependency and Supply Chain Security

How we manage dependency integrity, auditing, and supply chain security.

Attribution and support

Attribution and direct support go together: contribute attribution, and it opens up a direct line to the core team.

Attribution

Integration and order tags mark activity as running on Nautilus. Verify which tagged flow is yours, and your volume counts, in aggregate, toward the public totals we attribute to Nautilus. We never name you or share your identity. Retaining the tags is always your choice, and the signal counts the same from an individual or an institution.

Stats

On-chain volume and activity attributed to NautilusTrader.

Direct support

A direct line to the people who build Nautilus, through a dedicated channel straight to the core team. For institutions that attribute their order flow and trade at scale, it comes with the relationship; for those that cannot or would rather not attribute, the same line is available on a contractual basis.

Get in touch

Whichever path fits, the next step is a conversation. Tell us about your setup and the venues you trade, and we will take it from there. There is no fixed threshold to clear; what counts as scale depends on your markets and flow, assessed case by case. Reach us at institutional@nautilustrader.io.
